What is Neuro-Ophthalmology? Neuro-Ophthalmology is a sub-specialty of Neurology and Ophthalmology, and is the field of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of brain, systemic, and eye diseases that affects nerves and muscles related to the eyes and vision.

Neuro-ophthalmologists specialize in many cranial nerves, which are sensory and motor nerves arising from the brainstem that control vision and eye movement. Neuro-ophthalmologists also evaluate certain types of vision problems associated with systemic disease.
